Faith Formation in Blended/Virtual Learning Settings
Paul Sanfrancesco

Parish programs have the opportunity to evangelize not only those attending faith formation, but also their parents and families through a blended or virtual setting. In this different "environment", prayer, worship, message and community become as purposeful for the family as they are for the learner in a brick-and-mortar building. Discover ways to translate brick-and-mortar faith formation experiences to blended or virtual ones for children, teens, and the entire family.
  • Paul Sanfrancesco has worked in Catholic, private, and public education for over 27 years, as a teacher, assistant principal, and college teaching at Saint Joseph's University and Neumann University in the Philadelphia region.

"Oh, the Possibilities” – Children’s Catechesis Today
Mariette Martineau

Oh, the Possibilities! As educators we are called to change how we teach to align with how students learn. Programs give us a starting place, and our imagination and creativity fill in the rest! The more tools we have, the more freedom we have to create a context and an experience that makes learning meaningful for both student and teacher. Tools within reach of all educators will be highlighted with the support of real life examples.
  • Mariette Martineau is the religious education and family life coordinator for the Kenora Catholic District School System in Kenora, ON; and author of Sowing Seeds: Inquiry, Faith and Early Learners, and Awe and Wonder: A Teacher’s Resource for Faith and Science.
