Coordinator for Family Formation and Children's Catechesis

The mission of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Washington is to spread the light of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the world. In the faithful pursuit of this mission, the Archdiocese is seeking a Coordinator for Family Formation and Children's Catechesis. The Coordinator reports to the Director of Lifelong Formation and will support both English and Spanish-speaking parishes as they develop faith formation models for children and families in light of the archdiocesan "Forming Disciples Religion Curriculum Guide." This position is also responsible for ensuring implementation and compliance with the annual Safe Environment training of students in parish religious education programs as well as the implementation of annual Faith Knowledge Assessment. The Coordinator supports the Secretariat with all large-scale events.
The Coordinator must have an energy and enthusiasm born of a spirit of mission for the Gospel as she/he supports parish leaders and catechists. Accountability, attention to detail, excellent written and verbal skills, and a synodal, collaborative ministerial spirit are essential for success in this role.
The salary for this role is $65,000 to $70,000 per year with excellent benefits.

Director of Faith Formation

In the faithful pursuit of this mission, the Archdiocese is seeking a Director for Faith Formation. The Director for Faith Formation assists the Secretary for Catechesis in the mission of evangelizing catechesis. The Director is responsible for parish support in the development of robust lifelong faith formation and supervises the Coordinator for Children’s Catechesis in the implementation of the archdiocesan religion curriculum guide in children’s catechetical programs. The director is responsible for all aspects of the Faith Foundations certification process for parish catechists and Catholic school teachers, high school theology teacher certification. The Director provide support with large catechetical initiatives of the office.
This is a full time position and the salary is $85,000 to $95,000 per year with excellent benefits.

Catechetical Coordinator

Pastoral Assistant for Faith Formation

The Catholic Community of St. Charles Borromeo, in the Diocese of Metuchen, NJ, is currently seeking a Pastoral Assistant for Faith Formation.
The GIFT program (Growing In Faith Together) provides faith formation, catechetical instruction and sacramental preparation for children and families. The Pastoral Assistant for Faith Formation coordinates the preparation and instruction for the sacraments of First Reconciliation, First Communion and Confirmation, and creates and coordinates a dynamic family faith formation for children from first through eighth grade.
The Pastoral Assistant also coordinates programs periodically needed for young people with special needs, as well as those in need of a catechumenal model for the. Sacraments of Initiation.
Additionally, the Pastoral Assistant works together with the Pastoral Team, meeting at least twice a month to assess parish life and to plan and coordinate parish observances, such as Lent and Advent.

Director of Religious Education
