An Invitation to Become a 2023 NCCL Sponsor
NCCL is launching its first Sponsor Campaign and we would to have your support for NCCL’s work in 2023. The past year has been a year of renewal for NCCL. Founded in 1934, NCCL has a long tradition of promoting the catechetical ministry of the Catholic Church. In July 2022 NCCL began the task of planning for the future while honoring its long tradition of service to the Church.
NCCL has a new name – the National Community of Catechetical Leaders – welcoming all leaders in catechetical ministry to join together in a shared ministry. NCCL has a new mission statement – promoting the ministries of evangelization and catechesis in the U.S. Catholic Church by fostering a community of leaders who proclaim and teach the Word of Jesus Christ through the witness of accompaniment, education and formation in the Catholic faith. NCCL has renewed its commitment to serve all diocesan and parish catechetical leaders in the U.S. And NCCL has a new Board of Directors.
Since July NCCL has engaged in a strategic planning process to develop new initiatives to serve diocesan and parish catechetical leaders, including:
Would you consider becoming a NCCL Sponsor, providing financial support for our 2023 plans and programs. There are no longer membership dues. NCCL will be funded through program income, foundation grants, and sponsorships (personal, diocesan, and organizational). As the full time executive director, I am donating my salary back to NCCL and working from home. I am holding expenses to a minimum while rebuilding the services and finances of NCCL. All Sponsor donations will fund NCCL’s new programs and initiatives to serve leaders in catechetical ministry.
Forming people of all ages in the Catholic faith has never been more important or more challenging. Please join with me to ensure that NCCL will be able to serve catechetical leaders today and shape the future of catechesis in the coming years.
Gratefully,
John Roberto, NCCL Executive Director
